Two JA Athletes Sign to Play College Baseball

Jackson Academy hosted a signing Monday at 10 a.m. for two seniors who are continuing their athletic careers in college baseball next year. Parker Ryan signed with Pearl River Community College and Branson Tadlock signed with Jones County Junior College. Parker and Branson were joined at the event by members of their families, coaches, members of the baseball team, and classmates.

JA Spirit Teams Capture Four Championship Titles

JA cheerleaders, dance teams, and drumline demonstrated their skills at inspiring audiences during the MAIS Spirit Competition held at the Mississippi Coliseum yesterday. The newest addition to spirit competition is a drumline show, this year held as an exhibition. JA’s drumline delivered a lively, crowd-pleasing performance. JA spirit teams brought home four championship titles, three runner up positions, and two All-Star recognitions. Congratulations to all of JA’s spirit teams!

Parker Harris Leads JA’s Baseball Program

Fifty young baseball hopefuls eagerly took turns at the plate at Jackson Academy’s Raider Park. The second through seventh graders were part of a program called Hitting with the Raiders that newly-named Varsity Head Baseball Coach Parker Harris and his coaching staff instituted this year.

The JA Cross Country Team held its awards night on Wednesday, December 4 in the JA Cafeteria to wrap up an exciting season of competition and growth. The evening of food and fun was a great way to celebrate, with dinner catered by Lexington Independents. Members of the team were presented with individual awards.
